Restorative dentistry

What’s the most common thing at the dentist’s? … “A filling, of course”…

Tooth decay is one of the most common conditions of all. However, every tooth is different - which is why we always choose the treatment on a case-by-case basis, depending on the extent of the damage, the location of the tooth and the patient's preferences.

Types of fillings

We treat minor damage to teeth using fillings made from various materials, which differ in both appearance and properties:

Photocomposite filling ("white filling")
  • The most commonly used material due to its excellent aesthetics and natural appearance.

  • When fitted and cared for correctly, it will last for many years and is the first choice for most cavities.

Glass ionomer filling
  • Suitable as a long-term temporary solution, and in some cases even as a permanent solution.

Pain-free treatment

The use of local anaesthesia is standard practice here. Thanks to this, procedures are completely painless - and occasionally we even have to gently "wake up" patients whilst they are in the chair.

Precise isolation of the working area

To ensure the highest quality of treatment, we use a rubber dam - a special barrier that isolates the tooth being treated from the rest of the mouth. It prevents contamination from saliva, improves visibility and, at the same time, enhances patient comfort - without the discomfort of water in the throat or constant drying out of the mucous membranes.

Prevention comes first

To keep tooth decay to a minimum, we recommend a check-up twice a year. Regular check-ups are the simplest way to keep your teeth healthy for life.
